Hey folks!  Thanks for stopping by.  Please take a minute to make note of these latest announcements.  Make sure you visit the calendar page as well!
 
 
 
 
Ø On Wednesday March 7th we will not be meeting at the high school, but instead will be meeting at 6:30pm at Elite Feet on Main Street in Brighton.  This should normally be the case for the 1st Wednesday of each month.  Come run a different route and remember to wear reflective gear.  We would like to remind everyone to follow safe running practices: run facing traffic, if in groups run single file, wear reflective gear, and always be alert.  After the run, we will once again be going to The Pound, Brighton’s newest restaurant located on Main Street across from Yum Yum Tree.  If you would like to come, please let Keith know so we can make reservations for the right number of people.
 
Ø The BARS post-Christmas Holiday Party will be on Saturday, February 4th at the Marciniak’s.  Event starts at 7:00pm.  The main course will be provided; however it is appreciated if some guests could bring side dishes to share.  BYOB and bring 1 white elephant gift per person for our fun white elephant gift exchange.  

 

Ø Please note that this flyer is available for you to print out and give to a friend or co-worker, or to post at your local athletic club or gym.  Another way to get the word out about BARS!

 

Ø Keep posted for a possible Chili Chili run again sometime this winter at the Peterson’s. 

 

Ø Our 5-mile trail race at Huron Meadows will be on Saturday, March 24th this year.  Please let us know if you would be interested in helping at this event.

 

Ø Stay tuned to find out when we will be having our annual banquet sometime in early spring.
 
Ø Please note that we are now often having a group get together on Sundays for long runs.  Just keep an eye on the calendar page to find out where/when/what time.
 
Ø As indicated above, keep an eye on the calendar for group runs NOT on Wednesday nights.  If you are planning a workout and would like to invite others, let us know so we can put something on the calendar.  You can also let everyone know by sending an email out on the BARS distribution list.
 
Ø The committee members have agreed to give a free dinner and one drink to a member who has paid dues for 2012 and brings a potential member out to run on a Wednesday evening. One meal and drink per year.
